Here at Hesco, Inc. / Dakota Organic Products, we believe both types of farming practices -
Organic and
Conventional - are needed and that both sides have their benefits. We are determined to provide safe, "super clean" whole and processed grains in both forms to meet our customers' requirements and needs. Safe, quality food starts here.
Organic grains are farmed without using
pesticides, insecticides, or commercially produced fertilizers, etc. The soil
they are grown in has been set aside (or has not had pesticides, etc. used) for
a specific period of time (generally 3 years). The processing of the grains
cannot utilize any outside chemicals, etc. to get the end resulting product.
Conventional (also known as commercially grown) grains are grains that
are grown with traditional farming practices that utilize fertilizers,
pesticides and insecticides.
